New Sunday Hours at the Greene Hill Food Co-op!
Dear Members: We are truly excited to announce that our Co-op will expand its shopping hours to include Sundays from 3-7 PM, starting May 4th! Members who attended last week’s General Meeting were united in encouraging this brand new step. And, a BIG thanks to everyone (300+) who participated in our online and in-store survey!
As a member, we count on all of you for ideas, suggestions and your time to make this new step successful. As we look in the rear view mirror to opening on Mondays, we realize we have a lot of experience to share.
On that note, here are some steps to prepare our new Sunday hours and ways we count on you all to be involved:
We ask members who can give more time over the next 4-5 months, through the end of the summer, to work an additional shift to include a Sunday. All additional time beyond 2hrs/4 weeks will be banked for future use. (As a reminder, you may redeem your banked hours here and any member may redeem up to six hours during the course of this year.)
Please spread the word to your friends, neighbors and community members about our new expanded hours. Encourage them to join and be part of our growing Co-op!
Instead of posting available shifts up on shiftplanning, we want to coordinate our new Sunday shifts to ensure that all our regular shifts remain well staffed. Therefore, if you can help staff a new Sunday shift in any way, as your new or additional shift, please email either Allison or Nick to sign up. The Sunday shift slots will range from 2:15-4:15 PM, 4-6 PM, and 5:45-7:45 PM. Once the Sunday shifts are filled, we will add them with assigned members in to shiftplanning.
Thank you to everybody for your continued support and enthusiasm. Our expanded hours come on the heels of new refrigeration, and in preparation of a new POS system and further in-store build out. Coupled with spring and summer produce and additional inventory space, our Co-op is growing strong!
