Open Shopping Weekend + Membership Drive Feb 8-9

The Greene Hill Food Co-op is excited to be hosting a midwinter open shopping event and membership drive on Saturday February 8th and Sunday February 9th! All are welcome to shop and learn more about Greene Hill’s affordable local, seasonal produce and groceries. 

The event will showcase the store’s everyday inventory, and the latest seasonal produce through seasonally inspired recipes, demonstrations, and product samples, along with fun activities for the whole family! Confirmed partners include Variety Coffee, arepas from Bululu Foods, and tastings from Mama Margaritas salsa. We'll also be hosting fun events like succulent potting (with a little help from BK Rot compost!), tote bag personalization, and the opportunity to make a valentine for your favorite co-op food.

The general public will be welcome to shop during this time, and as always, we’ll have Co-op staff on hand to answer any and all questions about what it means to be a member-owner. In addition, new members who join before or at the open house will have the $25 administrative fee waived from our Avocado and Lettuce plans, and receive a free tote bag.

Greene Hill’s open shopping event is a great time to stop by and learn more. Invite friends and neighbors to visit for some neighborhood socializing, crafts, and treats. Join us to learn about building community through a shared love of healthy food—while shopping truly local and reducing the use of plastics, packaging, and reliance on big chain stores.
