Berry Spice Smoothie
Are you looking to feel fresh for spring? Here's a simple smoothie recipe with a powerful secret ingredient...turmeric! This recipe was shared by the co-op through a food demo at the Fort Greene Council, our neighbor and senior center on Fulton Street. Everyone was surprised to see turmeric going into a smoothie but knew it was good for them and the taste was quite a hit! Berry Spice Smoothie

Ingredients:
8 ounces unsweetened milk of choice 1 cup frozen dark berries 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon turmeric 1 Banana
Directions:
Peel banana and drop all ingredients into a blender. Blend until smooth.
